Physical Education aims to develop every individual’s physical competencies, cognitive skills, personal qualities and physical fitness by providing learning experiences, which are exciting, challenging and enjoyable. While developing physical fitness and skills through a choice of activities students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning by adopting various roles including leader, performer, coach, assessor, supporter and organiser. This approach aims to develop successful learners, responsible citizens, confident individuals and effective contributors by equipping every individual with transferable skills, which can be utilised effectively within and beyond the boundaries of Physical Education.
