Hello and welcome to the final page of the transition section of our website!
It was great to meet you this week. We hope that you enjoyed your visit and are looking forward to starting with us in August!
Many of you may have already started working on your workbooks. To help you do the ‘Spelling Workout’ Mr Easton has made some video clips demonstrating the exercises.

You will have maybe noticed during your visit that it’s not just teachers that work in the school. There are lots of other people that do different jobs at Viewforth, you may have met some of them already!
Pupil Support Assistants
We also have an Active Schools Coordinator based in Viewforth!
Here is a message from him.
Hi P7’s! Many of you will hopefully recognise me from visiting your primary schools and maybe also from sports events you have taken part in. I am based in the PE department at Viewforth HS and my main role is to increase the quality and range of opportunities of sporting activities available for our pupils to take part in. These activities take place before school, during lunchtimes and after school. When you move up to Viewforth High School there will be a wide range of FREE extracurricular activities for you to take part in including Dance, Football and Netball to name a few. There is always opportunities for new clubs to start so if you have any new ideas, I would love to hear them!
There is also an established Young Leadership Pathway at Viewforth High School which is open to all pupils. There are a wide range of roles that you can take on and from this year new S1’s will be able to apply to be a Young Leader. As a Young Leader you will be able to attend several training courses that develop your leadership skills and confidence to deliver in front of other pupils.
It would be great if you could take 5 minutes to complete our VHS PE and Sport questionnaire by following this link:
If you have any questions you would like to ask before August you can email me at: Craig.Watsonfirstname.lastname@example.org
Your final challenge is to stay safe and have a great summer!
See you on 12th August !
